Ultimate Bookmarks Chrome Extension  ·  Last updated: 2026-03-24

Overview

Ultimate Bookmarks is a personal bookmark dashboard that replaces your new tab page. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it is used.

We do not collect, store, handle, or have access to any personal user data. All bookmark data remains exclusively on your device. The developer has no server, no database, and no means of accessing anything you save in this extension.

Analytics — opt-in only

On first launch, the extension asks whether you'd like to share anonymous usage data. Analytics are entirely opt-in. If you decline, no data is ever sent.

If you consent, the following anonymous events are sent to Google Analytics 4:

What we do NOT collect

Anonymous client ID

A randomly generated ID (e.g. a1b2c3d4-...) is stored in your browser's localStorage to count unique users. This ID cannot be traced back to you, your Google account, or any other identity.

Data processor

Analytics data is processed by Google Analytics 4 under Google's standard terms of service and privacy policy.

Revoking consent

You can withdraw consent at any time by opening the extension settings (coming soon) or by clearing your browser's local storage for the new tab page.

Data stored locally

All your bookmarks, theme preferences, and settings are stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. They never leave your device except through the optional export feature, which you control.
